About Dr Kakkar:
I have been working with children, teens, adults, and families since 2000. My education and training has been very extensive. I have two doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology and have gained experience in a variety of settings. Throughout my career, I have worked in schools, community mental health clinics, academic and research centers, hospitals and recovery centers. I have published many papers on adolescent health, parenting, resilience, stress and well-being. I understand that seeking help can be a difficult and vulnerable decision. I believe therapy is a collaborative approach. I will provide guidance and support, and empower you to develop new coping skills and perspectives that can help you to better manage difficult emotions, improve your relationships, and enhance your overall well-being.
